Covid-19 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
In light of COVID-19 we continue to do everything we can to mitigate risk and prevent exposure among the dancers, faculty and staff. We are practicing social distancing, wearing face coverings, disinfecting barres, floors, and any other surfaces the dancers might touch between every class.
We use a government-approved cleaner throughout the studio to ensure
that our , dancers, faculty and staff are kept safe.
The Chief Health Officer of Canada, Grey Bruce Public Health and the Government of Ontario ask that we all make an effort in social distancing and help flatten the curve, as the window to reduce the spread of COVID-19 . Health authorities are advising everyone to limit contact with crowds, and stay home if possible.
It will take all of us in the community working together to manage this situation and minimize the spread of COVID-19. The best advice for the moment is to be informed, practice common sense preventative measures and carry on as best we can.
- The studio now has various sanitization stations set up throughout the studio.
- Between each class the studio has purchased a professional sanitizing fogger ( the same machine is used in hospitals ) that will disinfect the entire area and floors
All Students and Parents- Arrival and Departure
- Parents must arrive 10 min prior to their child’s class time, and wait for the previous class to depart completely before lining up outside of the studio entrance. Please abide by the six foot rule, there will be pylons set out to offer assistance.
- Each class will have it’s own Remind that will let the parents know when their child’s class is dismissed.
- If a parent is going to be late for pick up or drop off they must sent the teacher a text message letting them know.
- If a student is not going to be attending class a text to the teacher ( out of courtesy ) 30 min before class time is required.
The Protocol: ( Children who do not need an adult to accompany them into class, Ages 7 and Up )
- All Parents are to drop their children off and the students are to come into the studio wearing a face mask and wash their hands at the disinfectant station.
- Dancers are then allowed to enter the studio and put their belongings into appropriately separated containers that are disinfected after each class and dancer. At this time the Dancers can remove their masks until the class is finished
- The studio floor has been segregated into Ten Foot Blocks where each Dancer will stay during their class.
- If a person needs to use the washroom please do so but put your mask back on and sanitize the area you were using in the bathroom as well sanitize your hands before returning to the studio.
